La pharmacie LeEuroClin.com, au 122 rue de la Pompe et 291 bis avenue Victor Hugo, Paris 19eme, vous offre en dehors de son métier traditionnel.
Our skin is an essential, multifunctional organ, fulfilling basic tasks. Its state mirrors our inner balance. Lesions of the skin are not only unpleasant, but they can often be eye-catching, this is why they are harmful not only for our body, but for our psychological health as well. Dermatology offers solution for these problems.
2. What happens during a dermatologic check-up?It is possible to register to the examinations and treatments preliminarily at the receptions desk of our clinic personally, by phone or e-mail. At first personal visit, the patient is registered at the receptions desk and then he or she is directed to the specialist by our colleagues.
The first step of medical examination is to put down the detailed anamnesis when the physician gets acquainted with the history and complaints of the patient. Depending on the character of the skin symptoms, the anamnesis can cover family history as well. This is followed by a physical examination, when the physician examines the referred skin area, or, if necessary, the whole surface of the body. Examination of birthmarks is done with a special device called dermatoscope. In case the skin disease requires, sampling for histological evaluation or other examinations (internal medicine, laboratory) can be done. We have the possibility to remove benign epidermoids, warts; our physician performs this with electrocauter or with liquid nitrogen. In justified cases, other special examinations can be performed. The examination is closed with the establishment and discussion of the necessary therapy.
Payment is done at the receptions desk after the examination, the consultation or the treatment.
3. With what kinds of complaints, diseases should we call upon a dermatologist?Diseases, lesions on the skin can be recognized easily. We can speak about acute complaints like any bites, allergic reactions, rush, bacterial, fungal or viral infections, but there can be chronic skin problems existing for years like psoriasis or eczema.
Other types of skin diseases (e.g. skin tumours) can remain undetected even for years, not causing any complaints, but their treatment in time is essential for recovery, that is why regular screening test are recommended for everybody.
Dermatological treatment can be also indicated in cases when the skin lesions cannot be reckoned as a disease, but they present aesthetical problems for the patient. Such can be the benign increments of the skin e.g. fibromas and warts in the crooks of the body, on the neck or on the face. Unpleasant hair loss can also belong to the scope of dermatological activities.
